What are Early Termination Fees?

If you cancel your broadband service before the end of your minimum contract term, an Early Termination Fee (ETF) may apply. This fee reflects the remaining time left on your contract and any setup costs that were discounted when your service began.

When do Early Termination Fees apply?
Early Termination Fees apply if you cancel your service before the end of your agreed minimum contract term. Your contract term will typically be 12, 18, or 24 months depending on the package you selected when you joined.

If you cancel after your minimum contract term has ended, no Early Termination Fee will apply.

How are Early Termination Fees calculated?
Your Early Termination Fee is calculated based on the services included in your package and the number of months remaining on your contract.

The calculation is typically:
Monthly termination charge × number of months remaining

If there are partial months remaining on your contract, these may be rounded up to the nearest full month.

Example calculation
For example, if you cancel a broadband package with 4 months remaining on the minimum contract term:

Monthly termination charge: £17.00

Calculation: £17.00 × 4 months = £68.00

Additional charges may apply if setup costs were discounted when you joined, such as activation fees or equipment costs. Full details of any applicable charges can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
