How do I setup my eSIM?

Before you start
Before setting up your eSIM, make sure:

  • Your device supports eSIM
  • You are connected to Wi-Fi
  • You have the QR code or activation details provided by your network

Setting up an eSIM on iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Mobile Data or Cellular.
  3. Select Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan.
  4. Choose Use QR Code.
  5. Scan the QR code provided with your eSIM.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
  7. Once installed, your device will connect to the network automatically.

If your phone has multiple SIMs, you can choose which one to use for calls, messages, and mobile data.

Setting up an eSIM on Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Connections or Network & Internet.
  3. Select SIM Manager or Mobile Network.
  4. Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.
  5. Scan the QR code provided with your eSIM.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
  7. Your device will download the eSIM profile and connect to the network.

Using eSIM on tablets or mobile broadband devices
Some tablets and mobile broadband devices also support eSIM.

Setup is usually completed through the device’s mobile network settings by selecting Add Mobile Plan and scanning your QR code.

If your eSIM does not activate
If your device does not connect to the network straight away:

  • Check that you have a stable internet connection
  • Restart your device
  • Ensure the QR code has been scanned correctly
