What happens to Digital Voice if there's a power cut?
No. Digital Voice works differently from traditional landlines. Instead of using the old copper phone network, Digital Voice makes and receives calls using your broadband internet connection.
Because of this, the service relies on equipment in your home that requires electricity, including:
• Your router
• Your ONT (for Full Fibre connections)
• Your home phone base station
If there is a power cut and these devices lose power, your phone service will temporarily stop working.
